Announcements from several area clubs were presented and passed around for all to view. A property update was given in the form of a check for the earnest money to Lowell. The offer to purchase has been signed, set, and distributed to all parties. The grant is also in the works for the property. Island number one had soil added to it and it was re-rocked. Navis was also rehired to take out the rock/plaque that was made in Cole’s honor. Island #6 is also done and it was reported that the contractor was timely and did a good job. Now we need to plan to fence and seed the areas. The dock the pontoon boat was at was damaged, but a pier that was donated may be able to replace it. It will be discussed was the ice thaws out. Next on the agenda was the dinner discussion. We are still in need of door prizes and about 1 or 2 more auction items. We are at about 80 people for dinner reservations so far. The Sunday before the dinner at noon was set for the setup time for the dinner. Randy had the donation list from last year and it was reviewed. The next dinner meeting will be on the 10th at 6:30 p.m. The Rouger Super Red Hawk and a cue stick were set for the dice game and the wheel barrow of booze is also set. Old business started with good news that the club sold $1120 in tickets sales for the Battle on the Bago. We will get at least 60% of the sales. Thank you to all you who sold tickets. 30 students will be helping with the loose strife control project. The project will start in mid-April with the students digging up loose strife to repot and produce the needed beetles. Lowell presented the club with a check from Richard’s Insurance in Oshkosh for the club dinner. Art spoke briefly on a law that was in the works to change how waterfowl hunting can be conducted. Meetings will be held for questions and comments regarding the issue, see Art for details. The next meeting is the dinner at 5:30p.m. at the Fin in Winneconne. Pizza will be available for all after the dinner at the White House in Butte des Morts. The meeting was called for adjournment at 8:16p.m. first by Vicki and seconded by Randy.
