BDMCC General Meeting Minutes

August 2010

The meeting started at 7:41p.m. with no communications.

The Secretary’s report was read and accepted as such.

The Treasurer’s report was not available as Bruce was absent.

With 7 weeks to go the fun run raffle numbers are unknown so help get the word out to have everyone buy tickets.

The Fox River Heritage Paddle is now on You-Tube for all to see those who canoed and kayaked.

If you come out to the property please use the sign in book posting your activity, the date, and who was involved so the club can help keep a better history of the land.

The board of director minutes won’t be posted on the website or handed out.  The meetings are open to the public or a copy can be given to a board member on a needed basis if they miss a meeting.

Randy called to check in on the tractor and he was told it should be done in a week as regular customers were given priority, but it pushed getting the work done by only a day or two.  Randy will check back in a week to see if the tractor is ready for pick up.

New Business started with an email from Art saying the club was granted the money available from the DOT highway 41 project to better the land surrounding the new highway construction.  The annual bill from Ferrell Gas came in and Jim had the idea to get rid of the tank since the club has not used gas for over 3 years.  It was decided that Ferrell Gas will come and pick up the tank we have been renting and we will move a small tank off of the new property just purchased, to by the house where the old tank was if gas is ever needed.

The renewal for the club’s membership for the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation came in the mail and it was discussed if the club should renew or not.  While trying to save every penny more were in favor of renewing as the Federation does a lot of good for the area so we are to continue our support of them.

Other business included the camera on the entrance gate.  Its angle being a little off probably due to vandalism and the club is going to look into a case to cover the camera to better protect it.

Randy brought up if the matching money the club was going to get from the dinner was received or not as another donation is pending on it.  The commitment is there, but nothing is official.

The meeting was called for adjournment at 8:17 p.m. first by Don and seconded by Ken.
