BDMCC General Meeting Minutes

December 2010

The meeting started at 7:34 p.m.  The floor opened for nominations and Russ Kohl was nominated by Don.  He declined.  Don Stowe was nominated by Pete E. and accepted.  Randy made a motion to close the nominations and it was seconded by Pete and the floor was closed.

Communications started by our membership for the Wisconsin Association of Lakes being up for renewal.  After much discussion it was decided it was our benefit to keep our name tied with theirs and the membership renewal will be sent back with our donation.  Our web site host sent the club a certificate to use for $100 worth of advertising.  Jim had the idea to allow Nicole to use up to another $100 for advertising.  Bruce made a motion for the money allowance and it was seconded by Pete G and all were in favor.

The Secretary’s report was read and approved as such.

The Treasurer's report was for October and November.   Amounts were given for Anchor and Associated Banks as we are still in the process of switching over.  The report was approved.

Old business was started with a motion by Pete Ehlert to reinstall Jim, Randy Marx, and Don as the three board of directors open spots and seconded by Pete G.   All were in favor.  The annual meeting is at the Westward Ho at 7:30 p.m.  A possible date change for the April dinner was noted to push the date back a week, but more were in favor of keeping it the same Monday so the Board will take that into consideration.

New business started with the Battle on Bago in which Don went to get tickets for the club to sell.  The dates are set for February 25th and 26th.  Please see him for the tickets.

Dinner planning for the April dinner will begin with a meeting December 21 at the Lion’s Club at 7 p.m.  Randy has handed out a new donor list for all to complete and compile.

Art said the DOT will reconstruct islands 2-6 by grading them down and adding new vegetation in September 2011.  No stone work will be done.  Gulls and Pelicans will be added to the control permit.  Pete noted that if firearms are seen with individuals they will be asked to put them away or leave the property, if not they will be cited.

The meeting was called for adjournment first by Pat and seconded by Pete at 8:52 p.m.
