BDMCC General Meeting MinutesFebruary 2010
The meeting started at 7:35p.m. and Jim had several communications to be passed around. No secretary’s report was given as the minutes get held over until next year’s annual meeting in January. The treasurer’s report had Decembers numbers announced too as last month’s meeting date was too close to the beginning of the month. It was accepted as read. A special thank you went out to Nicole for her hard work from the past year and her contract has been renewed for another year for assisting the club. Old business included the land acquisition and that the paper work was signed before the end of the year for the transfer. We are waiting for the grant money from the DNR. After that is finalized we can apply to be tax exempt for the additional acres. Several people went out to the islands and cut the brush down and another work date of February 28 at eleven a.m. is set for piling the brush up and disposing of it. New business involved the 15 gun raffle. The 15 guns to be raffled are set and Tom is to be working on the booklets soon. Pete Ehlert is going to manage the raffle. The guns are to be set in bars before the Walleye Run so the club can get maximum exposure. A sign up sheet was going around for contact information for those who would like to help. The club currently has three gun raffles in 3 locations which are the Butte des Morts Supper Club, The Whitehouse, and the Westward Ho. Please support the club and purchase a ticket. The annual dinner is in full swing and Randy is going to get the list of donors for all to remember whom to ask for donations. Door prizes and silent and live auctions are needed. The feature guns are set and Tuesday February 9 at the Lion’s club is set for the invitations to be organized for mailing them out. Randy Pointon is going to handle organizing the door prizes again this year so please get them to him as soon as possible. The next general membership meeting is March 1 the Fin n Feather in Winneconne. Tickets for the Battle on Bago are still for sale through the club and all tickets need to be turned in by February 23 to either Don Stowe or to Tilly’s. Don had more tickets if anyone needs more. Pete Guckenburg noted that all duck houses, 15 of them outside of the marsh were nested in. He cleaned them out.
The meeting was called for adjournment at 8:27 p.m. first by Sharon and seconded by Pete Ehlert.
