BDMCC General Meeting MinutesMarch 2010
The meeting kicked off at 7:36 p.m. Several communications including the Wisconsin Lake Connection were available for viewing. The secretary’s report was read and accepted as read. Expenses for the treasure’s report included Jon’s Sport shop for the guns for the 15-gun raffle and for the dinner and the title for the land acquisition. The report was also approved. Old business started out with the annual dinner. So far we have 82 reservations. Several items are still coming in for the dinner, the artist is set, and Randy has the donor list from last year. The jewelry is set and after discussion the sponsor gift of coolers was decided. The center pieces are coming from Wayne’s Piggly Wiggly. It was also decided that only a few programs were to be given to each table instead of having one for every person to conserve paper. The paper work for the land acquisition is 100 percent complete. The tax exemption status request is in the hands of the Town of Winneconne and is waiting for their decision. Don noted that the ticket sales were up from last year and that the Battle on Bago increased their profit this year too. The 15-gun raffle had people designated to approach the bars to have a one on one meeting to review last year’s sales and to go over the rules. Another meeting is set to finalize everything. Pete said the snow is melting out on the islands and another work day for Saturday March 13 was set. The meeting was called for adjournment first by Vicki and seconded by Lowell at 8:42p.m.
