BDMCC General Meeting Minutes

May 2010

The meeting started at 7:50 p.m.

The Secretary’s was read and accepted as read.

The Treasurer’s report had two month’s to report since the dinner was in April. Both reports were accepted as read.

Expenses included guns from Jon’s sport for the dinner and the 15-gun and a few guns from Mike Jacobs, JRH Promotions, and seed money for the banquet.

Old Business started with the dinner and everything made a profit.  Final numbers are not in as there are a few outstanding bills. An anonymous donor is waiting to see what the club made for a profit and will be donating a generous amount. Overall the profit was down a little from last year.  New ideas are needed to keep the donations coming in and to keep the dinner fresh.

The town of Winneconne has given the Club tax exempt status starting in 2011 for the additional property that was added to the existing property.  The club will have to pay taxes on the additional property for the year of 2010.

Jim started new business with gun raffles and that everything is set.  The guns, posters, and booklets are already in half of the bars and the other half in set to go out in the next few days.  Pete has all the paperwork for the assignments as to who is going to which bars to set up the raffle and Jim has everything needed for the raffles.

The tractor could not be fixed by the gentlemen who came out to Lowell’s or arrangements are being made to get it fully functional.

The purple Loosestrife project will not be worked on this year since many of the plants did not flower last year, since many of the plants do have beetles currently on them, and the existing plants are not usable to start the project.  The club will skip this year and do the continuing project next year.

Bruce is to finish the setting up of the fencing and posting for the needed island shortly.

The meeting was called for adjournment at 8:22 p.m. first by Ken and seconded by Lowell.
