Bruce Loberg called the General Meeting of the Butte des Morts Conservation Club to order on Monday November 3, 2025, at Winklers Westward Ho at 6:30 pm.
1. Communications
a. Tom Bett attended the Winnebago Fisheries meeting on October 3rd. He provided us with a summary of the seven topics discussed. Anyone interested is welcome to participate in these meetings.
b. Bruce will be attending the Town of Winneconne meeting on December 188th
2. Property/Trail Update
a. Breakwall Update
i. MOA signed and returned. Permits submitted. Waiting on public hearing.
b. Fish stick Meeting on November 5th at the parking lot for contractor inspection.
c. Jordan completed Wiouwash Trail clean-up on October 24th
d. Removing inside rock project – Angelo has a future vision for this, but we need to focus on breakwall first
3. Fundraising
a. Spring Raffle? Deer blind? Need to make a decision at the January meeting to get tickets printed.
4. Old Business
a. Lawanda is working on the Guidepost brochure
b. Lift-Ty Johnson said the only option he would recommend is to scrap it
c. Bridge in parking lot – Ty would like us to sketch up what we would like. We are considering an 8x8 handicap-accessible viewing bridge. Bruce will work on the sketch.
d. Strategic Plan – looking for leaders J
e. Grant with UWO –Art is following up on this
f. Clean Up of Buildings – Bruce brought out a trailer and did the first load of steel, grills, refrigerator, sprayer, etc.
5. New Business
a. Bruce is looking into getting a virtual phone for Venmo purposes
b. Board Nominations
i. Art, Kevin, and Jordan are up for nomination
– Jordan accepted nomination as Secretary
– Kevin declined Treasurer
– Art accepted the director position
c. New attorney is Ryan Plisch from Dempsey Law
d. Bylaws – In 2026, we need to make some revisions
