General Meeting Minutes

The General Meeting of the Butte des Morts Conservation Club was called to order at 6:30 PM by Bruce Loberg.
1. Communications
Winneconne Town Reporting – January meeting minutes have not yet been posted to determine our next steps.
2. Property / Trail Updates
· Guideposts Brochure: Lawanda completed the brochure.
· Lift: Decision made to scrap the lift; revisit in spring.
· Breakwall Project: One full day of work completed, capping 11. 30 tons of rock piled by the schoolhouse.
· $440k grant ends March 26th. Angelo and Tom are working on an extension that takes 3 months to process. Open water work would not be able to start until August 22nd.
· $150k GLRI Grant expires June 1, 2026. Jim at Fox Wolf is working on the extension.
· Fish Stick Project completed – 3 total were placed. $15,000 of DU money was spent from the Van Dyke project.
· Inside Rock Removal: Art continues work.
· Trail Brush Clean Up will need to be scheduled when things dry up.
· Wiouwash Cleanup will happen in May (Jordan).
3. Fundraising
300 Battle on Bago tickets sold; expected return of $3,228.
4. Old Business
· Strategic Plan: Seeking leaders.
· UW–Oshkosh Grant: Art to follow up.
· Building Cleanup: Spring project. Garage repairs needed. Bruce is contacting Matt MacArthur (Night Hawk Construction).
· Parking Lot Bridge: Bruce to develop 8’ x 8’ viewing platform sketch for Ty Johnston.
5. New Business
· Jordan will post the new phone number on the website.
· Schoolhouse cleanup will need to be scheduled in the spring.
· By Law meeting needs to be scheduled.
