General Meeting Minutes

Date: Monday, October 12, 2026
Time: 6:30 PM
Location: Terrell Island Schoolhouse
 
Bruce Loberg called the Butte des Morts Conservation Club General Meeting to order at 6:30 PM.

 

Communications

·      Winneconne Town reporting is due in November.

 

Property / Trail Updates

·      Lift – Ken Meier will work on scrapping the lift in winter when he can better access it
·      Jordan Vanderloop will get the GoFundMe pages up and running for the viewing platform and trail repair. She will be sure to share on Facebook, website, and e-mails
·      Thanks to Dave Lux, Doug Wagner, and Bruce Loberg for completing the garage cleanup
 
Breakwall Update
·      Seawall Landing – Angelo Cozzola did receive a permit for it to stay
·      The money is looking like 2 will not be finished; 1 is not started.
·      The club does need to mark number 11 and the new walls when completed for two years
 
Wiouwash Trail
·      Jordan Vanderloop will complete the fall cleanup.
 
Trail Repairs
·      Bruce Loberg received the following proposal from Radtke for trail repairs:
$41,630 – Barge work
$12,790 – Trail work
$8,525 – Additional trail work
·      Don Stowe made a motion at our September 21st meeting to complete work on the two trails for a total of $21,315, allowing the club to avoid using the principal from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation balance. E-mail vote was sent out on October 1st with a 6-yes, 1-no vote. When the invoice is received from Radtke, we will review how much to draw from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation.

 

Fundraising

·      October Calendar Raffle – all 750 tickets were sold. Allowing a profit of $7300.00
 

Old Business

·      Strategic Plan – Looking for leaders
·      UW–Oshkosh Grant - Art Techlow will follow up.
 

New Business

·      Bylaws – Bruce Loberg contacted our Attorney, Ryan Plisch, and we are OK with three directors and 2-3 additional board members.

·      Schoolhouse
o   Randy Pointon will bring mounted ducks from Frank Kachur to the schoolhouse at the next meeting.
o   Brad Winkler volunteered to complete the needed schoolhouse cleanup after the Radtke trucks are gone.
·      2027 Board Elections – Jordan Vanderloop will double-check who is up for 2027.

 

Adjournment

A motion to adjourn was made by Lawanda Jungwirth and seconded by Ron Jungwirth.
The next General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the Butte des Morts Lions Club.
