The General Meeting of the Butte des Morts Conservation Club was called to order on Monday, April 8, 2024 at Winklers Westward Ho at 6:32pm by Bruce Loberg.
- Property/Trail Update
- Spring Clean Up/Trail Opening will be April 13th at 9AM
- Breakwall Project – Bruce will be having meeting with DNR/County/Fox Wolf about grant plans
- Wiouwash Clean Up – Jordan will complete
- Parking Lot Camera Project: Holes are in thanks to Speedy Clean. Jordan will send a Thank You. Plan on putting posts in Saturday.
- Tom made a motion to have half of the $6,000 ($3000) to be raised for the “Andrew” project, otherwise it will come from the club. The other half ($3000) will be donated by a confirmed donor. Art seconded. Motion Carried, pending permits.
- Fundraising
- Spring Raffle – See Jordan for signing out tickets to sell
- Battle on Bago – Received $1200 check from tickets we sold
- Golf Outing – Jordan will be putting on Golf Outing on Sunday, August 18th at Winchester Hills.
- Memberships – We are currently at 35 members. The goal is to reach 60 members this year.
- Town Picture Update: Ron will take an aerial picture when things green up and get an updated picture to the town
- Name on Sign: With monetary donation of $10,000 or more, their name may be put onto sign on our property, with their permission.
- Estate Planning – When receiving a large donation, unless there is a purpose, it should go into Oshkosh Area Community Foundation. Bring up in September to possibly add in by-laws.
- Guest Speakers: Karlene and Kate were here from Oshkosh Community Foundation.
Meeting was adjourned by Don Stowe seconded by Kevin Stowe at 7:46pm. Next General Meeting will be Monday, May 13, 2024 at The Westward Ho.
