The General Meeting of the Butte des Morts Conservation Club was called to order on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Westward Ho at 6:30pm by Bruce Loberg. Minutes were read and accepted. Treasurers report was read and accepted.
- Property/Trail Update
- Breakwall – Not enough ice this year to get trucks out. Our prices are locked in for 2 years
- Fundraising
- Cash Raffle – Instead of our Spring Banquet we will hold a cash raffle in May. $20/ticket – 750 tickets sold. Drawing will be Monday, May 8th 7pm at Westward Ho. Tickets are now available!
- Battle on Bago – Bruce is attending banquet on February 16th and will turn sold tickets in then
- Parking Lot Cameras – Estimate of $4800. Looking for funds – Jordan will post online and on Facebook that we are looking for donations
- Guns – Shopguns.com was not interested. Bruce and Tom will take guns to Scheels and other local places to see what we can get for them
- Lawn Mower – Dave found a 2015 John Deere X300 48-inch deck in Chilton. Asking price is $2295. 77 hours.
- Memberships– Jordan made changes to membership cards and will be distributed at area establishments. A ‘newsletter’ will be going out to members to remind them to renew membership and reminder of other important dates and our Spring Cash Raffle.
- Future General Meetings – We will be skipping July and December General Meetings
- Wood Duck Houses – Pete, Lawanda and Ron checked 34 wood duck houses within Terrells Island. All but 4 of them had wood duck feathers. 2 mice nests and 2 undisturbed. Did a lot of repairing such as tightening screws, repositioning. Could use some new ones.
