The General Meeting of the Butte des Morts Conservation Club was called to order on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Westward Ho at 6:32pm by Bruce Loberg. Minutes were read and accepted. Treasurers report was read and accepted.
- Communications/Donations
- No New donations
- Property/Trail Update
- Trail opened May 8th
- Possibly look into purchasing our own porta potty
- Breakwall
- Breakwall Permit – need extension. Bruce e-mailed Luke Roffler. Needs to be renewed by November. Art will have an update on rock removal project at next meeting.
- Bruce took care of getting markers out
- Fundraising
- Spring Cash Raffle – Thank You letter and $25 Kwik Trip gift card were given to establishments that helped sell our raffle tickets
- October Calendar Raffle – Tickets available. Need to get out to establishments by August 1st
- Wiouwash Trail Clean Up – Jordan completed May 26th
- Wood Duck Locations – Ron and Lawanda completed a wood duck map showing locations.
- Parking Lot Cameras – Estimate of $5000 - Looking for donations
- Memberships – Jordan sent out a postcard to remind members to renew.
- Strategic Plan – Goal #1 is complete. Will need volunteers to help with goal #2 duties. Lawanda will send Jordan a simplified version of volunteer opportunities to send out to members.
- Fox River Hunt Club – Art will stay on top of cattail control.
- Guns – Brett Favre gun – Certificate located. Discuss at August meeting if we want to have a raffle or sell online.
- Property and Liability – Suggested to get an estimate on what it would take to fix buildings.
- Nominations will be held in September (Bruce-President, Pete-VP, Dave Lux - Director)
- Ranger is currently at Skippy’s getting fixed
